Study Family Studies at Brescia
This course is for students who want to become a professional in one of the many careers that affect the wellbeing of Canadian families. You will learn about family life from parenting to marriage, divorce to family violence, immigration to family finances. Family Studies is an interdisciplinary field of study that draws on psychology, anthropology, sociology and economics. You will work in a community agency to put the skills you learn into practice.
Gain a Bachelor of Arts or Science
There are two options of study for Family Studies (Human Ecology):
- Bachelor of Arts: gives you a foundation for careers that work with families, through coursework in Family Studies, Human Ecology and the Social Sciences
- Bachelor of Science: enables you to develop a foundation in the study of the family and the food and nutritional science.
You may choose Honors Specialization; major or minor in the area of your choice and build the degree that will best prepare you for your chosen career.
