    Study Community Development at Brescia

This program will equip you with the skills you need to become an engage citizen and lead for social change. You will be involved in placements and projects in the community and abroad and take courses such as Interpreting Law and Social Policies to Build Communities, Social Change, and Community Leadership.

This program empowers women to lead – and is a community service-learning course. Students will be challenged to become engaged and socially responsible citizens, as well as compassionate leaders.

    Practical service-learning in the community

The Community Development Program at Brescia will provide you with a solid grounding in the principles, practices, methods, laws and policies relevant to community development. You will undertake placements or projects in the community as an interactive component to your academic study. Our invigorating and responsive teaching style will challenge you.

Brescia’s Department of Sociology, which runs the programs, also offers other modules combining Family Studies and Criminology.

Students can choose to major in Community Development, which includes a field placement and an optional global experience, or to minor in Community Development, which provides you with experience in community-based research.
